Massachusetts federal grand jury member accused of leaking information

A Dracut woman has been charged with leaking privileged federal grand jury information Jessica Leslie was charged Friday with one count of felony criminal contempt according to U S Attorney Leah Foley s office She signed a plea agreement on Monday according to a document uploaded to her circumstance docket on Tuesday The agreement is to one day in jail which is deemed already served as well as two years of supervised release She is scheduled to appear in court on July Keith Halpern Leslie s attorney did not answer multiple Herald phone calls on Tuesday Federal documents do not identify which affair Leslie served as a grand juror for However the documents do indicate that Leslie sat on a grand jury at selected point during the dates of Aug through March That is the time period prosecutors say that Leslie knowingly and willfully disobeyed and resisted a lawful order rule decree and command of the Court of the United States that a grand juror must not disclose a matter occurring before the grand jury Leslie is accused of sharing information to unauthorized individuals including the names of various observers appearing before the grand jury and the substance of their testimony and other evidence presented to the grand jury all while explained information was under seal and not subject to disclosure
